How I Started
Little did I know when I was 7 and excited to start piano lessons that it would ignite a love of music and teaching. Over 30 years later, and 20+ years of experience in the arts, along with 2 degrees in music, I still love to see that spark ignite in people of all ages!
The studious student.
We all have days like this when it comes to practicing!
Getting an early start.
Your Start
Whether you've never touched a piano or only sung in the shower, making the call or sending the message is the first step! After that, the initial meeting is free so that we can meet and establish what program of study will be best for you and what your goals are so that I can assist you in meeting them.
Commitment
Music lessons are an investment and require not only commitment in time, but in energy and finances as well. Before you begin, be sure to consider all of this prior to signing up. Regular practice is a must if you hope to improve your skill.
Course of Study
Both piano and singing students follow similar study methods. Beginners start in beginner books and then eventually move toward Royal Conservatory of Music materials so they can do exams as they develop. If this isn't the desired path, then a custom study is put in place. I also work with individuals who want to enhance their speaking voice, if this is you, give me a call too!
